WOO visited DREW!

Some of yall know Drew or may have read my post about he and his surgery last week. Well, they did run into some complications and were not able to do everything they wanted..some more cancer was found and once he gets enough strength back, he will start Chemo. He seems to understand what is going on and is staying strong, hopes to come home by the end of the week. Now for some good news ...I contacted a friend of a friend who is a family friend of Woo Daves. I explained everything, and mentioned Drew was Woos biggest fan (he stalks Woo at every event Woo is at, and has his autograph at least 15 times)..Without hesitation I was told to just call Woo...at 9pm last night I gave Woo all the info and asked if he could maybe call Drew as it would mean the world to Drew....Woo actually indicated he thought he remembered Drew from a few events (Drew can make an impression on ya)..Woo indicated he would at least call Drew a couple times to cheer him up and wished he could visit but he has a busy schedule right now with other obligations lined up..I thanked him a million times. I guess Woo found some time, because this afternoon I get a call from Drew and his Dad that Woo and his wife Patty had just left the hospital after a nice visit!...Drew got of bunch goodies and a few more autographs..he was so damn excited...it was awsome! It must have taken Woo at least 3.5 hours travel time to and from the hospital.....he is a busy man, and within 18 hours he was there! I am speechless....FIRST CLASS PEOPLE...both he and his wife. I also owe huge thanks to Jason Bishop and Keeter Estes as well! I may have lost Drew as a fishing partner though...Woo even promised him a catfishing trip when Drew is up to it. Woo is a good egg. I have always been impressed with him and this just solidifies that impression.

Hope that Drew continues to recover on the fast track!!

Would have been very easy for him to have just called and got it out the way. Here is a pic of Drew when he fished with UFC last year at Chesdin wearing his Bill Dance hat. I was with Jeff yesterday when Drew and his Dad called and you could really hear the excitement and appreciation of what Jeff and Woo did yesterday for Drew. It is amazing what a simple visit from someone will do to lift spirits when they are going through some tough times. With out a dought Woo is all class!!!!!!!!! but Drew is a lucky guy to have a friend in Jeff Humphries.......I don't know you except thru this forum but it seem your pretty CLASS ACT ALSO ....!!!!!!
Tell Drew to hang in there get stronger, it sure will be fun going fishing with WOO but will be even better if he gets back out with you. My prayers go out to he and his family.
