Buddy of mine is going Striper fishing on Anna this weekend. I've never done it but he asked Myadvice on what tackle he should buy.
is it typical to use regular bass rods? what test line should he buy, and what lures work well at Anna for stripers?
Thanks for any help. I'm gonna run to walmart with him at lunch tomorrow so he can pick up some stuff.
He hasn't fished in years. His friend just bought a boat and invited him along.
I've never gone to LKA just for stripers but I've gotten into them several times while there. Regular bass tackle will be plenty stong for them at Anna. You may get lucky and get a 20+ pounder but for the most part they will be well under 10lbs. They are a blast when they get on topwater though.
