Ramp for Scuppernong River?
Guys, is there a ramp off of 64 near Columbia to put in for the Scuppernong river?
Going to Plymouth this weekend and want to prefish some other areas away from the usual places. Anyone ever made this run?
Thanks guys!! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/bows.gif

There is a ramp, you pass it on the way to Lake Phelps

Coming from Plymouth take a left on to the old 64 just before you get to Columbia and the Scuppernong bridge. I believe the ramp will be on the next road to your right. There is a wildlife sighn and a small boat dealer that you should be able to see when you turn.

I would tell you to go to the Little Alligator, but I was told they were closing that ramp last weekend. You could try the Frying Pan (had some good luck there), about 8 miles south of Columbia. I've put my skiff in there, not sure how hard it would be to launch and recover a bass boat there especially if the water is down.

good little haul from roanoke id say about 30 min or so depending on how rough it is better check the weather before making the run the sound can get really rough on that end.what kind of tourny you fishing?
Re: Ramp for Scuppernong River? (heavy)
It's not that bad of a run "IF" the wind is down, otherwise it can be a nightmare.
I've heard of hit and miss over there this year. The Roanoke should be full of fish with all the tx's that have been there this year.
