Anyone with an extra trailer for my boat (skeeter)
My trailer needs serious work and would like to take my boat off of it to do the work over a period of a few weeks. Anyone know someone who may have an extra trailer my boat could fit on I could rent from them?
Other option would be to put my rig in dry storage for a few weeks. Not any experience with storage facilities or boat hotels locally. Any idea if I could have it stored for a few weeks or do they only offer long term commitments? Any idea on costs for dry storage?

Hey chip, it would be cheaper to rent a small crane for a couple of hours to lift it off and set it on some hay bales, just put a cover on it and do the work. getting it back on you could do the same thing or just winch it back on the trailer when done.

I thought about that Perry, but would need a place to sit the boat off of the trailer, somewhere other than my house. My space is limited. Idea crossed my mind though.

you can always drop it off here, I've got plenty of room.

Thanks, appreciate the offer. One of my customers works part time at Taylor Landing, will check with him to see what they would charge me to put the boat on a rack for a few weeks.

Chip,
What's wrong with your trailer? Anything I might be able to help with???
All the best,
Glenn

Needs new fenders and bunks. Want to get all the rust off this EZ Loader. Axles are fine, springs are good. It's just rusting pretty bad from our brackish wasters. Wanted a galvenized trailer when I ordered the boat... just didn't have the mullah.

After you make the repairs, check into having it sprayed by Linex. I had mine done about 5 yrs ago, still looking good, not rusting. http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif When done w/ repairs, it needs to be media blasted, then Linex applies an etching primer for bare metal, then sprayed w/ bedliner material. I would recommend any color as long as it is black. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif
