The adventures of Bill...........
Made it 503 miles down the road, (73 miles from Kings Bay) when I looked in the sideview mirror and saw little chunks of rubber coming off my port trailer tire. By the time I got to the side of the road that thing was history. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/sick.gif Since I left my tool box in the garage when packing the truck yesterday morning I was pretty relieved when he wrecker service guy pulled up and asked if I needed any help. Of course I didn't realize I needed $125 worth of help. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/doh.gif 25 miles farther down the road, in stop and go traffic, a guy pulls up next to me and tells me he saw a little smoke coming from my stbd trailer tire. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/embarassed.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/embarassed.gif Didn't find anything wrong with that tire but the hub felt warmer than the one of the other side, so I babied it down the road to my buddies house where we're going to do a complete rebuild of hubs, bearings, checking the brakes, and replacing the tires this weekend.
Thanks Lea for being the freindly ear thru all this yesterday. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif (Man, can that woman worry!!!) http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/bows.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/bows.gif
So now I'll just sit back http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/popcorn.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/popcorn.gif and wait for some new mishap to happen that I can tell you all about. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/devil.gif

Sounds like one of my trips...... http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/doh.gif
Glad you made it OK though, Bill.

That is why I like dual axles. Lose one tire or one set of bearings and you still keep on trucking. Last year I lost one of my tires and did not even know it until I got home, no smoke, no noise, nothing...
And yeah Lea can worry but that is why we all love her. She looks out for all of us like family...
