Didn't Miss the Big Slab Crappie Bite This Year

Jim and I finally timed the big slab crappie bite right this year on Lake Erie. We've been wanting to do it, and always get side tracked with walleye, largemouth, or smallmouth. It's tough when all three are available and you have to choose one for the day. We ended up catching a nice two man limit and shocking how much meat was on them compared to inland crappies. I cleaned my half and plan on taking them to my folks Mother's Day weekend. It's my dad's birthday that weekend as well. They will have plenty of crappie to eat that's for sure! :laugh:
