Serial # 3B156607 Model 115ELPT Is it ok to run full synthetic FC-W 4 cycle marine oil in this engine ? If memory serves me right it was ok after Merc came out with a synthetic oil, is that still true ?

merc sell full and semi synthetic so don't see why not?? :thumb up2:
I called them and I'm now using it they said they fully recommended
Thank you, I remembered something about synthetic not being recommended then after Mercury came out with synthetic it was then ok. My owners manual or service manual does not mention "synthetic" anywhere that I could find.
no reason not to use it, I remember a couple of years ago Mercury said no full synthetic but then they developed their own and suddenly it was OK lol. that’s what I put in mine last oil change was the 10W-30 Mercury full synthetic.
