Yamaha 6X0 remote control question
Lately, the neutral interlock trigger on the grip of my Yamaha 6X0 control box, (shifter/throttle) has been very difficult to depress. Any ideas? I can place the control lever in forward and reverse positions, all though tougher than it used to be. The motor still only starts with the control lever in the neutral position. I removed the motor cowling and can see the cable moves as I shift. Noticed this the other day while breaking in a new powerhead on my OX66 225. Could it be that the shift cable is going bad. Just curious as to why the interlock trigger would freeze up and be hard to depress.
