I don't see them catching any fish that a tried and true senko wouldn't.
They have their place, A Senko can't stay suspending next to a down tree and be worked several times to get a reaction from suspended fish. You need a longer rod, light line, and good drag.
I got the RAID Japan version and picked up a little fella
Love them. And yes they work.
They get bit
just make sure you have the color that matches the hatch the best
They definitely get bit - OSP Saikoro in “Mobi” has saved my day more than once.
Easy to make to try.
Used several colors last year drop shot and with a light flick shake head and did well. The pink was very good on shallow drop shots.
I think I’d make one before I bought any of them silly things… cut a piece of senko and thread some skirt material through it..
I can’t see me ever using it tho..
What material is the actual square (dice) made from?
I've caught a bunch of nice St Lawrence smallies on them by letting them ride with the current with an occasional pop. I put them on a 3/64 Range Roller hook.
The OSP ones are rubber. They are expensive but pretty durable and will catch lots of fish before they need to be swapped out.
Got a guy in my club makes them, any color you want, way cheaper.
Make your own it can't be that hard.
Do they sink, float, or suspend??
