Ok the first topic.....What and why are the weights so low right now for bass? Is it because of no rain, harsh weather changes, or just that crazy time of year. I dont recall as many weeks as we have had for this type of poor fishing. Prime example in the weights in this sprinkle T. These are some low weights in my opinion for this time of year.

Topic 1 - I'm blaming it on the weather front when the winds changed from SE to North or NE. Could be the fish are changing from summer pattern to fall. Can't be that I can't find fish. Fished Perquimans for a while Sunday morning and we only boated 3 small ones.

Topic 2 - Your going to give up fishing to play golf and follow guys in plaid pants that take 5 to 6 hours to play when it's 90 degrees on the weekends? But yes I too thought you would be golfing in '08. Actually golf is a great game, and I would like to see my son play more (as he is also a good player), but it is difficult to pry him away from his boat.

Put another one in the box Patrick, I too thought you were going back to golf. Looking at the stats from the last circuit you played I could fully understand your desire to go back to that level of competition. I've played golf my whole life, worked at a very fine course the last seven years I was in the Navy, played seven days a week and had my handicap down to a 2.4. Since I retired three years ago I've played a total of 63 holes, and sometimes I miss it like I imagine you do!

Topic 1: In my amateur opinion, I think the lack of rain combined with a predominatley southern wind for the last few months has lowered the PH levels in the water (made them more acidic) and increased the amount of salt.
