E-Tec blocks, 3.3L vs 3.4L - any major diff other than stroke?
Is it basically the same block with a diff stroke?
Reason I ask is eventually I want Lee and Robert at Taylor Marine to replace the 3L powerhead they did for me with an E-Tec block on steroids. I'm guessing I can start with a 3.3 block of just about any vintage and just buy the 3.4 crankshaft, etc... Greatly appreciate any comments!

It would be easier and cheaper to buy the 3.4 L E-tec.

I agree, thanks. I haven't noticed many 3.4 blown up or reasonably priced used powerheads out there (compared to the number of 3.3's), but I haven't looked much yet. I'm looking to build 350-375 HP. My 3L is around 290-300 or so, but I'm still late for fishing some times! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif
