Several years ago my dad had a guy bring a boat into his shop for gelcoat/glass repair. He called me to look at it,guy used drywall screws on his hotfoot install and they were sticking out at least a 1/2 inch.

Yeah, I've see some crazy stuff too and I always get a kick out of it http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif One I liked was someone that screwed 3/8" stainless plate across the back of the boat to "reinforce the transom" http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif
Yeah Cork, that's the ol KingFisher http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif I was ripping old unused & unnecessary wire out of it today & noticed that. I've always loved gutting a ride http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/devil.gif Actually I had seen the screws poking out when we went & got it, I just smiled & asked for the name of their boat mechanic.
Indeed WB, Marine Tex is part of my "I got a tool kit, I can fix it" arsonal http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif
