Besides raising Katla, I've also been pretty busy lately building a backyard fence. This ground out here is terrible,, like glue when it's wet and concrete when dry. Busted two handles on the PHD's last week. Cured that with some 1 1/4" heavy wall tubing for my handles. They are some digging suckers now. Just 12 more holes to dig.

Bob, there is a trick to doing that if you have a high pressure washer.

Use 3/8 pipe to build a tee shape tool with a jet nozzel on the bottom end.
The tee part is the handle. put a connection on the pipe that you can hook the high pressure washer to.
Jab the jet nozzle in the ground where you want your post to go.
Probably 3-4 times. Then clean out with post hole digger.
Takes just a minute.
I actually got a pneumatic hammer I use to drive 2 3/8 pipe in the ground and use no cement.

I picked up a power auger. Still have to use pjd for clean out. Building the fence a little stouter with 2 7/8, couldn't beat the price.
