The service manual (8M0122849) states that this distance should be set to .010. I know mine is larger than that. I haven't measured but I'm guessing mine is around .050. How important is it for it to be on the money at .010? TPS position/voltage issue? I just want to be sure that I'm calling for full engine speed when running WOT. This picture was taken from the FAQ - Hot Foot setup. Thanks.

i decided to look at mine. I already had someone hook up to motor with DDT and it showed I’m getting max 100% on TPS BUT with throttle cable disconnect and using throttle arm to
achieve full throttle, my gap on the strike plate is .075. Does this mean I CAN adjust the full throttle
screw behind the VST since I’m getting 100% on TPS?
Yes, you could adjust the stop screw to match the .020 clearance noted in the instructions there in the FAQ section.
TPS reading 100% on this engine doesn't necessarily match the AIR side (throttle plate). While that's only a small variance, any time you provide 100% of the fuel and .998% of the air, you're rich.
Thanks Don. I saw where it said .001-.020 so I adjusted it to .011.

Mine was .040 prior to adjustment and Diacom was showing the Throttle Percent at 100%. I adjusted it to .015 and it brought the TPS voltage for WOT (4.0 - 4.7) up from 4.08 to 4.16. After reconnecting the throttle cable I checked my hotfoot and had to make a minor adjustment on the WOT stop bolt and also add a little more spring tension so the hot foot would return more firmly against its idle stop bolt.

I noticed the gap the other day and wanted to adjust it to bring it back closer to spec. As Don mentioned in reply #5, calling for 100% fuel and not giving it 100% air makes sense to me. Well ran it this morning. No change. Actually it almost felt slower but it is muggy and 78degrees. I assume it’s not possible to do this and it slow down? Very disappointing. Thought I was into something.
Very unlikely- much more likely the atmospheric conditions are involved, assuming that you've achieved WOT position properly.
So, what rpms are you achieving at wot?
23 Fury-6150
24 Fury-5950
25 Fury-5750
All props basically run the same speed. 72.5-74.5 depending on load and weather.
So you run the 24 and leave it alone it is what it is. You want faster you will need real HP
