2002 225 ho Fitch Revs to the moon

After running, Trailering the boat, shift to Neut. and the motor revs up. try to bump the hot foot and it revs higher sticks then comes back down.
I have checked to make sure the HF is ok, Checked ,adjusted the linkage and lubed, not sticking there. Carb butterflies dont apear to be sticking.
Any ideas here would be great. Carb floats sticking? Some sort of electronic rev/choke switch? Thanks ahead of time! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif

Maybe a bad spring on the hotfoot?

No carbs on an injected motor could be a bad TPS (throttle position sensor).

i have a 2001 ho rude same thing happened to me (tps) was bad put new one on runs great now.
