Flip flops are thongs for your feet.
That's what we called them when I was a kid. That's what we wore when we went to the swimming pool.
Yep. And I can’t stand for anything to get between my toes!
Yep, as a kid we called them thongs. I can't stand them now!
I don't wear them and can't figure out when everyone decided that the world needs to see their ugly feet.
Hate em regardless of what they're called.
Freedom and comfort for your dawgs!
We call them Zori's
I only wear them when fishing FFS, with my ML spinning rod. It helps me with my sensitive side.
I kept seeing a lot of pros on TV wearing them so, not having worn them since I was probably 11 or 12, I bought a pair of nice leather ones and wore them fishing one day. Worst day on the water ever. Ended up with the worst sunburn on the tops of my feet and blisters on the inside of my toes. Plus, my feet killed me, standing all day in shoes with zero support. Never again.
A much better solution for footwear..

I just don't get the appeal of flip flops. Sure I wear them around the house where I know all of the possible obstacles my feet might encounter. But if I'm going out in public or driving anywhere I'm wearing something that offers some support and at least some protection. I have no desire to be changing a flat on the side of the interstate or boarding a plane in flip flops. Same with in the boat. There is a reason they call them flip flops. Catch a heel or toe on an edge a rod or treble hook and they'll flip flop your ass right out of the boat. Having said this, does anyone know if NB makes flip flops? Asking for a friend

I’m still too young to wear Velcro. I wear Hoka Bondi 8 …. Most comfortable shoe money can buy.
Called ‘‘em thongs in New Hampshire as well.
I think we called them Flip Flops.
