I have 93sv units with a dedicated lithium battery to power livescope. It seems that when the voltage drops I can't pick up the lure and also see less fish etc. I noticed it at 11.4 volts.
I thought lithium stayed constant on the voltage until it went dead?? I am getting this reading from the screen. So this may not be what is happening. The separate battery I thought ran just the livescope transducer. But I am not sure.

Voltage readings on electronics screens are close to useless other than as an indication of the quality of the wiring. Regardless, performance doesn’t change as long as the voltage the unit sees is within the manufacturer’s designated operating voltage range. Internally, the voltage is exactly the same throughout that input voltage range.
Never run a lithium that low or you can damage it. I ould say you have poor wiring or not enough AH lithium for what you are running, or just running it to long.
Low voltage will not effect the performance or images.
AH of Lithium / amps being drawn = hours it should run safely
example 50ah lithium / 5a draw = 10 hours
Just a 93sv and the Livescope box draw just under 2 amps.
Give us more specifics on your setup.
I have a 30 amped and it charges to 16.5 and takes a couple days to see 11.4 and that's about the time the unit shuts down from low voltage and I'm powering a 1222 and black box
They battery is 23AH so how long should it hold power? I have two 93sv up front and 2 at the console.. it may be that I am drawing 6-8 amp??
I may need to un plug that single battery and confirm what it powers.

Your battery is not big enough.
Disconnected the lithium batter and graphs stayed on. But lost panoptix. I am getting a meter to test the amperage. But I am shifting back to the battery is big enough for just Panoptix transducer.Quote:

Black box draws less than 1a so a 23AH should run JUST IT about 23 hours
As for your four 93sv, they draw about 1a each.

also if you run them at max voltage the ldo regulator differential will create more heat, because heat is the product of wasted voltage. ive ran a lot of tests on these units and cringe when folks run these off of cheap buck or boost converters thinking it will give them a clearer image. the amount of ripple they are putting into their units is making matters worse and prematurely aging their electronics.
That’s ideal voltage for the battery. A lower voltage indicates the battery is defective or not charged. The unit works exactly the same on 9V as it does 18VQuote:

Tested the amps on the wire to the live scope transducer. Max wa just under 3 amps. Battery is 23 amp hours. So it should last 7 plus hours. Next time out will do more testing with a larger bait.
I do charge batteries each time.
i did have a battery connection that I think may have been faulty. Maybe?
As I said the black box draws just under an amp as shown on a meter and the App on my Ionic Lithium. I don't see how the transducer could draw 3a. What wire did you check and how did you check it? there are so many
Did you ever figure what is powering the four 93sv's and wire size?
could be the connection problem. each connection and fuse will have some IR drop and a loose connection will have a greater effect.
fyi, devices draw power and the current will fluctuate depending on power requirements of the device. a gls10 can draw anywhere from 0-58w.
If the graphs stayed on when you unplugged the lithium battery, you are dealing with 2 separate circuits. The 11.4 volts you see on the screen is not the panoptix battery voltage.Quote:
