Easy way to remove foam under floor?
So my son and I acquired a 2001 Xpress X19. I/we have redone pretty much everything to this rig and it truly fishes well.

All that said, despite increasing setback, hull smoothing, messing with props etc, I still encounter relatively high prop slip @ over 20%. Now I realize there could be all kinds of factors going into the non-top notch performance, but am starting to wonder if there is also some soaked foam. We got the boat in 2019 and I honestly do not know it's storage history. Since we've had it, it has been stored indoors and does not consistently drip when propped up high in the bow. Nor does it take on any significant water when used. When in the water, it does sit high in the bow as all X18/X19 and X21 models do. But there are times it doesn't seem to get the lift needed when running.
Currently running 10" setback usually 3.5" or less PTP, WOT @ 6300 RPM, Yami '99 P200 with Chris Carson reeds and stuffers, turning a 24" Tempest plus that has added cup, with all plug holes filled. If I run it alone with however much gas, she'll do 61MPH and lift out of the water nicely. Add another person and 53-55 is the best she does and the bow sits lower when WOT.
I am getting a 12" plate and can bump that up to 16" if needed. These boats perform best with high setback, this I know from other reading.
Just wondering if there are some decent techniques to
1. check foam for soaking and
2. easiest way to remove said foam (or somehow enable evaporation to occur) if indeed it is waterlogged. ???
