I was wondering if anyone with a FXR21 had settled on a sweet spot for jackplate height I can leave it at. I’m rarely needing to use a hydraulic jackplate and would likely leave it in one position 90% of the time. Your thoughts?

Not sure about the 21 footer, but if I had to set my hydraulic plate on my ZXR20 on a certain setting and not be able to change it, I would have it on about 16.
Meadows, do you know what the prop to pad measurement is when you set yours on 16? I don't have a hydraulic plate and playing with my height now on a zxr20.Quote:

It takes considerably more than 5 seconds, he stated he doesn’t have hydraulic plate, mine has 9 dots showing, not sure on PTP

Kyle, my limited is set up similar to your boat, dual console, dual bow graphs, Raptors, ultrex, etc. I load all of my heavier plastics, terminal tackle, jigs. Spinnerbaits, anchor etc in rear storage compartments. All hardbaits in center bow storage, a few packs of plastics in day box. Run 7-10 on jackplate, lower in rough water. Usually cruise around 45-50 mph and 25-40% trim at that speed. If really needing to get somewhere in a hurry 90-95% trim at around 71 mph and 5980 rpms. And I generally run pretty heavy with 20 or so rods and half of an academy store in boat and very seldom get below 50% on fuel unless i drop below during tournament day. Tried running jackplate higher and can get more rpms but not much increase in speed
