help on display upgrade.

I am looking for some qualified advice. I am looking to upgrade my display unit for my LVS32(w/the GS10box). I currently have a 7610 and am going to upgrade to a 12" model. This unit will be mounted on my bow solely to be used for viewing my livescope return. I am comparing the spec numbers of the ECHOMAP ultra 126 to the specs on the 8612 unit. The pixel count is vastly better on the the 8612. My question is the improved picture quality of the 8612 worth the premium price tag it has? Right now Bass Pro has the 126 on sale for 1600.00 but I am realizing the pixel quality of it and my old 7610 are exactly the same..should i just spend the money on the 8612 or will 126 be enough? Thanks in advance..

The 126 is a very good unit. I'm now running the 8612 with the LVS34 and my images are fantastic. The 126 is by far enough to get good images with Livescope. Is the 8612 better - yes in my opinion. The LVS34 is FAR better than the LVS32 in my experience.

Keep the head unit you have and spend the money on an LVS34 Transducer. You won't even need a new black box.
