spare powerheads are north of 17K for modification purposes , get um while supply lasts :wink:

You'll love it. Just remember prop selection is TOTALLY different in many cases.
I've found the V8's like bigger diameter 4 blades like the Bravo FS/XS, and 5 blade props if you're running a sportmaster.
Anybody know the weight difference of the subject 300 HP Merc's ?
None. 512 pounds is what I read. 7 more than 300xs.

Most oils are about 7 lb / gallon. So if you had a total of 2 gallons between engine and gear oil, about 14 lbs. I believe I saw a post from Wildman at Liberator boats in FL who weighed a 300R and said it was around 550 lb with the prop, oil, cowl and ready to go. Not sure what the exact model of 300R that was and with which mid-section but it would have had a Sportsmaster lower.
