Need lodging info on Falcon Lake
I'm planning a trip to Falcon this month. I've never been there before. Where are some good places to stay? Are there any places that have electrical outlets outside for plugging the boat charger into? Also, are there any restraunts in the area I should try?
I've been waiting for this trip for a long time. I'm getting excited. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/smile.gif

oso blanco is right on the water with a resteraunt. there's a boat ramp right there and it's on the opposite end of the dam.

I stay at the Sunbridge in the town of Zapata. It's clean, and it's only about 80 bucks a night. Boat parking with electricity. El Rincon is good Messican food. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif

Falcon Executive Inn Zapata. Not bad and reasonable. Was 67.00 a night a couple years ago. http://www.falconexecutiveinn.com/
Re: Need lodging info on Falcon Lake (WB)
That sounds more like what I'm looking for. How far is the Falcon Executive Inn from the lake? I was wanting to fish in that big creek arm close to the town of Lopeno. It is close to where HWY 83 and 2687 intersect. Are there any boat ramps out that way?
I also heard about an area called Tiger Creek. Is that on "our" side or "theirs"? Either way, I plan on staying in this country. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/USA1.gif

Try the Holiday Inn in Zapata, ask for the Sportsman's Discount. Should be $65. Or stay at Speedy Collett's Becon Lodge (that's where I stay).
Eat at La Hacienda Del Rey at least once and order the stuffed tilapia w/ shrimp.

I'm not going down there until Sat. I was going to drive down there Fri morning, but the weather won't clear up until Sat afternoon. I'm not going to drive 5 hours to watch a lightning show. I can do that here. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif
