Your motor does not have a TPS, it is a traditional carbureted 2-stroke

It was me that replaced my TPS. As seahorse said your motor does dot have a TPS. Motors that have a TPS are the ones with a computer Ficht and E-tech. TPS is a sensor that tells the computer what position the throttle is in.
I was getting a check engine light because my sensor was faulty. The sensor is spring loaded and my old one had a bad spot. At one particular spot when you moved the spring it would get tight then make a clicking/popping noise. The new TPS is smooth all the way from closed to open position.
When you install a TPS you hook the motor up to a portable diagnostic computer and set the travel in the spring to match the travel in your hot foot/throttle. When my hot foot is pushed all the way to the floor the spring in the TPS is 96% open. I could adjust the travel in my hot foot so the sensor could open up to 100% but at 96% I am turning 5650 rpm and that is enough for me.
The reason I gained 1.5 mph is because my old TPS was set so my motor turned 5550 rpm. The extra 100 rpm equals 1.5 mph. I did not want my motor to turn any more rpm but the extra 100 is still in the safe range.
