Has anyone ever attached anchor points like these to inside of the frame with self tapping screws on a tubular trailer for use as tie down points instead of wrapping the boat cover bungee around the frame?

Don't see why you couldn't. That's just for storing, not for towing. You'd want a tighter strap that goes under the boat for towing.
Finally got off my keester and installed them alot better not have to loop them around the trailer. Not a big deal.....but all of the little things add up :smile:
And I was able to trailer my other boats in this fashion without issue. The ratchet strap does most of the holding.

Tube type trailer beware: be careful when drilling there are wires and a brake line in the tube when drilling.
