I just returned form Amistad and have one word to say:
WOW!
I did not think I would have as much fun as I did on last year's trip, but I was wrong. We had our BASS Federation club tourney and every member of our club caught a limit on day one. There were 42 of us. There were a few personal best caught as well, my son caught a 9.58.

amistad can be humbling at times for me at least, i was there in the summer a few days and didnt catch anything but two huge White Bass, i wish i was there now :)
We had 50 teams show up for the WTTT tournament Saturday. One team was late for weigh-in and didn't get to weigh in. So, 49 teams weighed in full limits of 818 pounds!!! The other team had around 14 pounds and would have pushed the total weight to 832 pounds!! The heaviest weight of all our tournaments. Some teams (including myself) reported 100 fish a day! I lost a great double digit bass fun fishing on Sunday when she broke 20 pound P-Line. She added insult to injury when she completely cleared the water after breaking off!!
Amistad is on fire right now!! The lake always fishes best when 20 feet low. It's around 16 feet low now.
I will be there next Thurs. through Sunday. Can't wait.

I will be out there the 30th through the 8th got a little vacation time. I will have a empty backseat from the 5th through the 8th if anyone interested. Oh yea! Sorry boy's there is no sacred waters out there anymore, just to many fisherman out there these days.
Skip That is no joke! A guy commented once that one day, just east of 277 bridge he could have crossed the lake jumping from boat to boat and never got his feet wet there were so many people there.
Sounds like a great time. I think that is where I am going to go next year as long as the gas and diesel prices do not continue to rise. I need a to get a job in TX and leave this God forsaken place.
Hey SkeeterMark, A friend and I are headed to Amistad next Friday through Monday. We're staying at Anglers Lodge. If your there give us a hollar.

Angler's Lodge has the least expensive "Amistad" baits I have seen from the lake to Houston and all of the internets. We were looking for a bait in town and was told Angler's would have it, they did and I was blown away at the price.

Yep just got back. We caught a lot of fish just nothing for the wall. (replica) We caught anywhere from 75 to 85 fish for the four days there. Some 4's and 5's and 2 6's. Most of the fish were caught on T rigged Senko's and Terry Oldham's spinnerbait. I will post pics later.
