Re: knoxville tn area? (spinningreel)
I live in Blount County on the south side of Knoxville and feel like our schools are good. Maryville and Alcoa have good schools but are in the city. Alcoa has like 40% tuition students.

Is there any part of the Knoxville area that you would not recommend, I guess you might say a bad part of town?

Ha yes! East Knoxville-Highest crime area in the city, some parts of south Knoxville are also pretty crappy. Blount county is nice but the only thing about that is having to commute up Alcoa Hwy every day to work in Knoxville (I wouldn't want to do it). I work in Knoxville but live in Anderson County near Norris Lake and the commute isnt to bad, 25 minutes or so on I-75. If you need anything just IM me.
Re: knoxville tn area? (spinningreel)
like these guys are saying. the closer you get into town the worse if gets. if you are a daily commuter then the road situation needs to be your focus. you can go any direction out of town if you'll commute. 15-30 miles out of town will get you to a lot of decent places. fishing in every direction. I would favor the southern direction toward lenoir city/sweetwater.

right now nothing is definate, just exploring possibilities in case it happens, would like a place in a safe neighborhood, with good schools, and I like to have a little bit of a yard a 1/2 acre or so kinda out in the countryside instead of a cramped subdivision where homes are too close to each other.
