TWO QUESTIONS RUSTY----JOHN
i know to get the BRP engine tuner to decarb the engine----where do i hook it up and just follow directions on the can---also what plugs do i need---i'm at work and dont have my cheat sheet on my engine---thought i would try to find prices while i'm at work today---since i only have maybe 20-25 hours on these plugs,do i really need to replace them
i got the can of engine tuner, it says a couple of quick squirts--then a long 20 second squirt and leave for only 1 hour---is 1 hr enough?

On the DI motors you will need to spray the Engine Tuner directly into the air intakes...DO NOT TRY TO HOOK THE CAN TO THE SHRADDER VALVE, The only shradder valve on that motor is on the pressure side on the fuel system.
The plugs you need are Champion QC12PEP...set the gap to 0.028.
We leave the tuner in the motor for 12 hours.....I need to read the labels on the BRP stuff, this is the second time someone has posted a different set of directions than what I last read.
Re: TWO QUESTIONS RUSTY----JOHN (TRITON20)
Rusty---I have a fairly new can of engine tuner and it says to leave the tuner to soak for between 3 and 16 hours.

Thanks Bob, that's what I read on the label the last time I checked the can.
We do the decarb and let it set for 12 hours then clean it out and go for a ride, after the ride we change the plugs.
Re: TWO QUESTIONS RUSTY----JOHN (RUSTY63)
thanks---some people have said fill the spin on fuel filter--can i do this---also can has a hose with fitting on end-should i take this fitting off the end to spay into the throttlebodys?
Re: TWO QUESTIONS RUSTY----JOHN (TRITON20)
You can fill the filter, that will run it through the injectors, you can get the can with or without the hose or just cut the end off.
Yes......spray it through the throttle body's, Never try to hook it to the shradder valve on a DI motor, the valve on this motor is fuel pressure. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/eek.gif

Rusty, how much out of the can should it use? I did the 2 second squirts per cylinder and then held it and the engine died after about 8 seconds. After sitting 12 hours, it started right up and didn't smoke that much, but you could smell it. It felt like it used about half a can. Was it enough?

Number 5 on the cans directions states: "Do not let motor stall until can is empty". http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/wink.gif
Re: TWO QUESTIONS RUSTY----JOHN (RUSTY63)
I didn't see that on my can. Guess I'll have to re-read it. It was an older OMC can. How do you keep it from dying? Fast idle?
