200 Vindicator side to side movement
The motor seems to move side to side way too easily (by hand). I've been using the trolling motor since I noticed this problem, so I don't know if it has an effect on the steering at speed. Is it possible that something is loose in the steering even though the wheel is tight and seemingly responsive? I don't really know where to start looking, so any input would be appreciated. Also, it doesn't trim up while underway, only at idle. Do I have to replace the trim motor?
Re: 200 Vindicator side to side movement (Downside)
Sounds like you may have a bad upper motor mount.
Does the trim raise, but the motor stay down?

yep mine was doin the same thing, looke like i had real problem, tighten the big nut per championman http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/bows.gif and it don't wiggle at all..
Re: 200 Vindicator side to side movement (Downside)
Thanks a lot, I'll try tightening that nut. As for the trim, the motor will trim up as normal, but only when the boat is sitting still. Any pressure on it and it stays down.
