I've never been down there and was looking for a place to possibly stay a weekend this winter and fish in the heated dock. does anyone have a good place to stay or any info on the docks they could offer?
Thanks,
Travis

Thanks, just looking for some winter time fun to pass the time......:)
To be honest....crappie fishing at Grand ain't all that great right now. Due to several years of below normal spawns, lots of dinks and you can only keep 15.
There are several heated fishing docks at Lake Eufaula, and the quality and quantity are much better. Several bed and breakfasts and motels around the lake.

If you are wanting crappie drive past Grand and go to Euchie. You can catch them there all year. Or give me a call we have a dock up towards the river that we can catch crappie in http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/thumbsup2.gif
I concur, I live on Grand and bait my dock up each year and the crappie fishing the past 5-6 years has been pretty poor. They've done numerous studies to try and understand what the issue is but I've never seen any solid data as to the exact reason. You can catch some crappie but it's not like it use to be say 10 years ago. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/crying.gif
So I just said screw it and now I catch these off my dock:
