1988 363V Jack Plate Setback
Got a 1988 363V, ‘88 Merc XR4, 2.4L, 22 Turbo 4 Blade. Prop shaft 4.25” below pad, 55-58 mph with medium load. Looking at adding a Bob’s hydraulic Jack plate to add some fun/performance. 1988 believe was last year for the wood transom.
Boat is mint, garaged since new, always maintained, only 250 hours on motor and transom is solid. Looking through set ups posted, seems 10” setback might be optimum for the 360/370 based on best top speeds. Any experience with 10” setback set back on the this hull with wood transom or a maximum set back for longevity?
