Drotto on a Reata 1850LS

After many attempts and much hair pulling out, I am ready to abandon my efforts to make the Drotto work on my 2014 Reata 1850. I have seen post with guys loving them for other Ranger models, but has anyone successfully set one up on a Reata?

I bought the model specific to Ranger Boats, tried every height combination I could, but none seemed to work. Also don't feel like the angle of the winch to the roller would ever allow the Drotto latch and the winch hook at the same time, do I need a larger bow eye?

Any thought or experiences greatly appreciated...
