hey guy need help have a johnson 150 fast strike Mod#J150GLENC. It start right up. But once it started the RPM climbs right up as if its getting extra fuel. The RPM get up to around 4200 and she will not kick down to engage the mortor? some one said it might be the VOR. Would that be raising my RPM??? Note the mortor was running great till this week end.
look to see if the throttle plates are closing all the way,,ifso may have a powerheadngasket letting it suck air,
Might want to check the top hose on the airbox and make sure it isn't hanging up on the throttle roller.
thank for help i think i found the problem. it looks like apart failed in the time plate and the timing is out of whack. I have it at a local shop should here back tomorrow http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif will post when i know for shure. Thanks again
