Has anyone heard any news about the Pearl at Pearlington? Did the fish kill make it that far down?
east pearl should be fine
Has anyone actually seen all these dead fish with their own eyes? Or is everyone just passing on hearsay information?
I'm going to the Pearl tomorrow to find out for myself. I won't believe the rumors and gossip until I see this firsthand.
What caused the fish kill?

I guess the people I've talked to, the news, and the pictures are wrong? Everything in the river is dead man. I bet the cleanup boats won't even let you on west pearl. East pearl should be ok.
Hagler google pearl river news
i fished from the east pearl to the middle sunday and tuesday and never saw any dead fish.will go look at the west pearl first chance i get,got some things to do this weekend.i hope it's not as bad as they say.
Just to let all of the media and gossip believers know. I went to the Pearl today. Launched at Pearlington and fished the middle river, east middle, ran through johnsons pass over to the west river, fished the mouth of sawmill, ran up to salt and caught fish everywhere I stopped, not giants but the were ALIVE and they were healthy. Not only were the fish alive, I did not see a single dead fish!!! Talked to a couple of guys that were working the cleanup and they said that the dead fish are all up north and they doubted the kill would reach as far south as salt (talked to them at the mouth of salt)
Don't believe everything that you hear in the media, their job is to create controversy and cause disruption of daily life. It looks like they have succeded, because I only saw 1 other boat that was fishing and they said that they hadn't seen any dead fish either.
Good old Bogalusa http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/eyes.gif ... I've been in a pile of paper mills, and this one and the former sister in Pine Bluff are two of the nastiest $h!tholes I've ever been in. http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthdown.gif
However, they do spend about 3+ million a year with my company, but are a PITA to deal with...
black liquor (or green liquor) is not something you want in your water system http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthdown.gif http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthdown.gif

Between LA and us....I don't see why that should be a problem.
