Fri. nite T @ Pigwick.......His engine did WHAT?
During the blast off, about a half mile from the ramp, a big ranger with a 250 merc, The engine broke loose and went to the bottom. A friend was behind him and said it just skipped across the water like skipping a rock,he had to take evasive action to avoid hitting it.
I looked at the boat after weighin , it was said he didn't hit anything, the mount bracket was just snapped off with all the bolts and nuts still intact.Just glad no one was hurt!

Well....last night being my first goat island tourny, me and my fishing partner where just standing on the front deck talking about the boat when all of a sudden everybody starts taking off. It was real nice for someone to let us know that http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/doh.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif , cause I would have been out front of all them boys instead of having to run in all that junk water heading out to the main river. I saw that ranger lastnight.....it was a 522, and like Guy said, the bracket actually broke in half. I wish I would have taken a picture of it.

Guy might know him. I've just seen the boat up there a couple times.....fairly young guy I think, bout my age. All that was left was half the mounting bracket and some of the rigging, from what I could tell.

forgive me if I see some irony/ humor in this.. Next time you are going to fish the T, give me a heads up, and I will tell you when to blast off! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif Actually thats our MO when we see a stroker in the field,it's the only way to keep them back in the pack! Hope you enjoyed the T anyway.

Man...it don't matter what kind of bass boat you got. Once the "soup" starts in Yellow Creek, its gonna be a rough ride to the river. One of the guys taking the money told me if it goes over a one hundred, they don't let em in the tourny. Luckily for me, mine don't. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/roll.gif He was kidding of course.
The river wasn't to smooth either with all them yachts running. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/ohwell.gif

Sorry, don't know who it is.I noticed the trailer tag was from Ohio, maybe he just moved to the area.
Yankee or not, no one would wish that on anybody! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/eyes.gif

He is a buddy of mine from Ripley, he just bought the boat about three months ago from Ohio, he said he didn't notice anything wrong before it happened, but he said it looks like it was some oxidation around where the break occured. He is absolutely sick over it, he said he is waiting for the insurance to get back with him, I told him to give me the coordinates and I would make sure they didn't find the motor when they decided to look for it. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif
