Recommendations for graph power

Hey all, I am running a helix 10 at the console, 9 at the bow as well as livescope and a hydrowave. Currently I can only go about 5hrs on the water before the cranking battery starts to empty. For whatever reason, I assumed I was running a 27 as my cranking source, but when looking at it, it's a 24. I'm not even sure a 27 is sufficient and being that interstate doesn't produce a 31, I'm left with the decision to go to another brand for a 31, do an Interstate 27, or consider a dedicated battery for electronics. Mind you I am running a small 16' tin so space/weight is a major concern. I'd prefer to just upgrade to a 31 assuming this is safe and can run electronics for 8-10hrs.

I would definitely go with a 29 or 31.

The Duracell 31 AGM from Sam’s is a good option. It’s on sale for about $160 until March 22.

If you want to go cheaper, the Duralast 29 at Autozone is about $100. Sometimes they have $20 discounts if you order online and pick up in the store.

BTW, the reason you may have trouble finding a 31 at Interstate is because their batteries are made by Johnson Controls. JCI makes a group 29, which is essentially the same as a 31. The Duralast I mentioned above is the same as the Interstate for quite a bit less money. Interstate does advertise an SRM-31, but I’ve never seen one in a store.

I'm assuming I should go with the dual purpose as opposed to the deep cycle?

Could look into Lithiums

At this point I'm not considering lithiums due to me having to purchase another charger and already very limited on space and weight.

Doesn’t matter as long as the battery has enough CCA for your outboard.

It's a Merc 25 4-stroke. About anything out there can start that thing :roll:

The two batteries that Catfan suggested are good choices for you. You are lucky that your cca requirement is very low which a deep cycle battery is fully capable of supplying, yet, at the same time, providing a large RC to run all of your electronics. If your charger is older, or, not AGM compatible, stick with a wet battery like that Autozone/JCI.

Thanks for the tips everyone. I will go ahead and pick up a Duracell 31 Deep Cycle as it seems this will be sufficient.
