Re: Over Heating (bassrunner)
What was the water temp on the lake?
I get hot alarms in water about 89 degrees.
Re: Over Heating (bassrunner)
Since it is an '08, take it to your dealer for a checkover and have them call the factory's dealer hot line for things to check. There is also a software update depending on the serial number.
Re: Over Heating (SEAHORSE)
ok thanks guys. the lake temp was about 83. did i do the right thing by just lettin it idle for a minute for it to go off? i know these motors are high tech and alarms go off way to early to cause much damage i just memored what i was always told about a vehicle not to cut it of while overheating if possible.
Re: Over Heating (bassrunner)
Nope you did the right thing. If it was my rig I'd run the motor a little lower on the plate to keep the pressure up.
Re: Over Heating (bassrunner)
i had a similar problem once, sometimes you can pick up a piece of trash or other debris that momentarily blocks the inlet vent, you can shift to reverse and that usually works.
