Those lakes are awesome. They are gin clear and packed with smallmouth.
and also sunday morning about 11:00 am a trip to the hofbrau for brunch should be in order....but be prepared to stand in line.....but fishing is good like fox said gin clear and some big fish long cast in order....
Stick with tubes... you'll do just fine!
Good polarized glasses and a fast trolling motor.
They will be on beds. That is if it does not stay 80 degrees every day til then. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif
It should be a blast. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif
Hey, I have fished Ackley Lk in Paw Paw... Not the greatest. Also fished the connecting lake and didnt do so well either... So I went to St Julian and Werner winery to forget about it.. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif
Stayed in a cabin for a week on hidden point? I was told I had the fastest boat ever on the lake... http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/roll.gif I ran over 80 in Ackley and had plenty of mad lake owners come out.. http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif The owners wife is a school teacher that teachs KVD's kids..
i have been there a couple times, duck lake has both lm and sm and has alot of wood on bottom, with a visability of about 12'. on green ive caught both but the smallies are king! i was told crankbaits work great on green, but ive caught em on tubes, spinnerbaits and jerkbaits. one time, i stuck about a 12"er on a spinnerbait and as i was "skiing" him back in a GIANT smallmouth came up out of the depths to check it out! My biggest SB is 7lbs and this thing was bigger....once he saw me he just slowly sank back down outta sight. must have fished that point for 2 hours after that! http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif

Reports on good chow in the area are always welcome also.... http://www.bassboatcentral.com/smileys/Laugh.gif
Boone's Long Lake Inn has some awesome food!
If you make it into Downtown Traverse City, do yourself a favor and get the Prime Rib at a place called Mode's Bum Steer.
Oh ya, you have to go to Boones. http://xs-s.com/zf/images/smile/emthup.gif http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boardstuff2/beers.gif

+1 for Mode's. They also have a great pork chop too!
Now this may not sound right, but I would say away from the Hooters. The staff their sucks. Worst service I've ever had, and I've heard it from different customers in the area as well as from hotel staff.
