I am looking to buy a push pole. I know there are several different versions and styles on the market, but with many of the lake bottoms here in Michigan being very soft....marl, muck etc. what is the best choice or style of push pole? What kind and brand have you guys in Michigan found that works best for these types of lake bottoms? I would like one that can collapse of snap together and can be at least 12' long.
I used "duck feet" like you buy @ cabella's or where ever and attached then to an old bull float handle. Bul float handle sections are usually 5' long and screw together.
Hmmmm, never heard of a bul float handle.
Bull float handle or pole is used in concrete work, a bull float is about three feet wide.
They are made from aluminum and are about 10-12 foot long and some can take extensions that screw in for even longer, you can find them at most home improvement stores in the cement areas, I know Lowe's/Home Depot carries them, they aren't real cheap though.
