Looking at boat with a 1997 Yamaha 150hp Pro V

I am looking at buying my first bass boat, and the one I am looking at has a 150hp Yamaha Pro V. I was wondering if anyone has any info on this motor, if it's good, how well they hold up and so on. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

I had a 97 pro-v 200, could not break it. Easy on gas also, wish I had it back.

Ive got a 92 pro-v 200, its a good motor, i had to replace the fuel pumps and water pump and poppit valve, no trouble so far and it wasnt taken very good care of before I got it, get a compression test done and a test drive and go from there

Thats my old Pro'V and it definitelt was and still is a super strong motor. One of the most dependable, strong running motors ever built I'm sure. Go for it.
