We had a 1971 15 ft with stick steering and we updated the old 1971 25 hp Johnson to a 2004 F25. Done a lot of work to it new flotations in floor and side, new carpet, seats, steering control, electronics, and Tm plus a few more things. The old boat didn't leak and with two over 340 lbs would run 27 mph/gps with one or two of us. Great little boat wish we had kept it when we bought our first Xpress.

My first boat was a 1991 Fisher Hawk with a 25 hp Mercury.
It was made by Brunswick Marine out of Mississippi.
The 25 hp 2 people , ice chest it would get 28 hp to 32 hp.

In 1992 my dealer was selling new 3 cylinder Mariner's when the 1st came out.
Made a real good deal on trade $1,500 difference.
Swapped out the 25hp to the new back then 40hp Mariner.
The 40hp Mariner made that boat scream to 38mph.

The boat was riveted and all aluminum no wood that what I liked about the boat.
It was also very light, simple to run, cheap on gas, and lasted.

Sold it to my nephew in 1992 and he is still running boat he just put a spray on bed liner, repainted it, and fixed a few rivets.

The boat in my picture is the Fisher Hawk with the 40hp mariner

I am currently running a 1994 Fisher Marsh Hawk with a 94 75hp Mariner. I love it. Great layout, TONS of storage and seems to be a decently built boat. Here is a pic before I cleaned it up and added the troller.
