    What size Bearings? Stratos Trailer

    Hi all -

I posted this on the Stratos Board because I figured the owners would have a more accurate answer... I have a 1996 Stratos 278dc and the original Stratos Trail
trailer. (no book or info on it) Does anyone have a similar outfit, because I'm looking for the hub size for bearing replacement. Any help would be great. No results with the search.........

    -thanks
    steve g

Re: What size Bearings? Stratos Trailer (steveg warwick)

    Hey another New Englander!

Not real sure on the size and im pretty sure there are only two sizes used on most bass boat trailers Best bet would be to pop a wheel off and get the bearing numbers..or buy both large and small and return the wrong one

Maybe send C&O Marine an email and ask them. I have a local dealer here but would recomend the C&O Parts dept over them.

Steve the bearings are standard size, one large and one small BUT the seal is a different. I have a 278 and when one bearing let go last year I found that our EZ lube hubes are differnet that most. They have a stainless steel sleeve that that seal runs on and then use a 1.68 seal ID. If you want some specif part numbers email I'll pull my invoice with all the part numbers. Is your the aqua 278? We have meet before. I have the red 278.

    Re: (steveg warwick)

I'll pull out the invoice, got them all online at a well known boat trailer dealer. $60.00 give or take. You do have the sure lube or ezlube hubs? grease goes in the cap and comes out the axle shaft?
