Etec 250 HO - Magnum Gearcase

Anyone that has a Etec 250 HO and a Stratos 201 Boat running a RX4 26 pitch prop. If so I wanted to hear some feedback on the prop.

I blew out my lightning gear case and had to switch to a magnum case on my Ranger Z520. The different gearing and different diameter of the lower required a 4 blade 26. I was coming from a 3 blade 24 that ran like a scalded dog. The 4 blade had tons of grip but the magnum is just never going to be as fast as the lightning. I could still run about 68 loaded but not like the 70+ I could with the lightning lower.

I'm running a magnum 1 on a 03 250 with a nosecone. This helps that case with the aerodynamics and allows you to raise it higher.

No sir I'm swinging a 26 Bravo in summer and 28 Bravo in winter.... I just realised you were speaking specifically about an HO engine and that prop....sorry i was just making a statement to how well the magnum cases work better with the nose cone.....

Ok thanks for replying, I am trying to find a good prop for my setup. 250 Ho -2014 model and a Stratos 201

I have inquired about Bravo, RX4, Raker II and Raker HO. Can't seem to find any results.

I can't give you any results on your hull with the Bravo prop, but I'm a fan of them....woke the holeshot up on my rig.....there isn't a lot of difference in the weight in our hulls.....I struggled with the rakers and renegades when loaded heavy, but the Bravos helped a lot when I was fishing tournaments with livewells and fuel tanks full. Your engine is an HO where mine isn't gives you a few extra ponies also....

Just realized I didn’t specify in my post. I was running a 26 RX4 and it was worlds better than the 3 blade Raker.

Evinrude has a series of RX4 props just for the G1 Bass motors. The range is 24 to 26 pitch. They have a 1 inch vent hole and are designed to use on G1 250hp. You'll find the larger vent works well on the G1 - 250.
    768461 Rx4 prop, 24P, 1" vent port
    768462 Rx4 prop, 25P, 1" vent port
    768463 Rx4 prop, 26P, 1" vent port

I am running a 14 model 250 HO on a 15 Z521C, I had a 26 pitch Raker on it when I bought the boat. I bought a 25 pitch RX4 and could not be happier with it. It has become my main prop and the Raker is now my spare. It jumps out the hole and runs rite at 70 with 2 people full fuel and tournament load.

The Bravo Prop you are running is it a Bravo 1 XS or FS and 4 blade and what is the difference.

I'm not sure...it's the Bravo with the 1" holes in it.... not made for pvs plugs.
