What is considered a big Largemouth on St Clair

I never see reports on LM anywhere. Heck we caught 100 the past few evenings. Nothing over 3 pounds. Do they get big on St Clair?

Most people who go to St Clair don’t target LM hence you don’t see the reports. There are some YouTube videos on LM fishing there and yes there are some big ones in there I seen a couple over 5lbs weighed in at tournaments.

LM fishing on St. Clair is getting really good. For obvious reasons the SM get all the attention. We've targeted that bite and although the weights are lower the numbers aren't there but it's the excitement of crushing it. They are lazy fish after hook-up.

Any LMB over 20” would be a big one. But there are still so many tank SMB out there, the cutoff line for a big one would be 21-22” at least in my experience.

Slim, since it says you are from Charlestown, do you know the Zollman crew from the 4 Z Farm?

Biggest LM was 3 pounds or so. No pictures of those. Thats not anything special. The smallmouth are very special. But at dark we would go pull on the green ones.

We fished all the Docks along the mile roads. They were under docks and on seawalls.

Go into the rivers and find canals and off areas.....they are all over....SCR area has a ton of standing reeds and so forth. Itd be quite difficult to not go off the beaten path and not slam largies all day up there. Throw a top water and punch grass. I know of guys pulling 20lbs+ consistently in that area on Largies.

10-4. Just that when I read your post about a 21"er I was hoping to see a big bucketmouth from the lake.
