    Holy Cow

I am a BassCat Boat junkie and die hard fan of everything BassCat Boats does. However I went onto the website this morning to buy a few Perko latches and cam lock bars. As always the pricing is reasonable and I am very happy right up until I see the shipping charges. Having been employed in the transportation and logistics world most of my adult life I know there are better options than paying $55.91 for a few small items.

Yep their shipping is insanely overpriced. 250 bucks to ship new seats, 85 dollars for gelcoat and a 125 to ship it. Almost say we do not want your business
    Thank You Leon Pugh

Talk to your dealer and see if they can help with shipping on a next boat order they having coming from BCB. They can just throw it in the rod box (if possible).

Having them shipped to a business is often times cheaper than sending them to home delivery. Shipping can be steep in smaller towns as UPS or FedEx main hubs are in larger cities.

Don't forget, someone also has to package for shipment, that has to be accounted for in the cost as well.
At least it does in my world.

Ive filled my cart on several occasions just to never complete the order because the shipping was so stupid. I am waiting until they run the free shipping promotion again and Ill make my order for some parts Im wanting to upgrade on my Puma. But until then Ill do with what I have.

should call the plant and ask them a lot of times they can help out.
I have ordered my fair share from them and got decent shipping. but im also only 3 hours worth of a drive to the plant

BassCat shipping is very high. Not sure why its that way. I do as Bitman suggested. I wait until around Christmas to order things. They usually have free shipping or maybe $5 or $10 flat shipping rates during that time of year. Other than that, I drive up to Sherm's and get the part from him. He usually has what I'm looking for.

I think I've read somewhere before to call to place your order and they will give you "normal" shipping prices. The shipping prices on the website aren't accurate supposedly .

If that is the case then they need to fix it as it surely is costing them some business and inconveniencing customers looking elsewhere for the parts.

We certainly have shipping and packaging on our target to review in the post dealer meeting time frame this month. Though here’s a FedEx chart for everyone. It might mean we adjust prices which is definitely a consideration.

U.S. Express Package Rates: Zone 21
Shipments moving generally 0–150 miles from origin to destination anywhere in the contiguous U.S.
    Delivery Commitment 2.
These are 1 pound to 5 pound rates

As a business, you should be able to negotiate much better rates with FedEx and UPS. I think we have about a 70 percent discount over normal consumer pricing. If nothing else, smaller items could ship though USPS with their flat rate shipping option. https://www.easypost.com/usps-flat-r...es-and-pricing

^ this.... No way you should be paying anywhere near that price for shipping. Basscat should be shipping enough stuff to get some sort of a discount.
