    Axle Information

I have a 2000 MFI single axle trailer under a 2000 Triton TR20. I'm trying to identify the axle so I can order a spare set of bearings and seals. The trailer capacity plate is faded and hard to see. Best that I can see it lists the GVWR as 4500 and the GAWR is 3800. There is a sticker that says Bearing Buddy Axles By UFP. The axle beam is 2" X 3" tubing. It has DB-42 brake calipers with the mounting bracket using all 4 bolt holes in the axle flange. Is there any way to ID the axle without pulling the hubs and measuring the bearings and spindle?

This fits about 90 percent of bass boats and chances are very good they will fit axle you describe: https://www.easternmarine.com/carry-on-bearing-kit-502

Those are for 3500 lb axles, he probably has 5000 lb axles or around there.

Those bearings and races are correct, however the seal is a 1.71 and we need a 1.68.

I literally just had to rebuild my entire axle due to a hub blowing out so I learned alot about it ( I havent even owned this boat for a year yet)

The GVWR is confusing to me too. The writing is faded so I could be wrong about the 4500 lb rating. I used a magnifying glass and a light and it looks like 4500 lb rating to me. If MFI was still in business I would call them.
