    Buying boat with 2005 250 verado, THE GOOD ? BAD? THE UGLY?

    has 200 hours or a little less, its on a Champion 223

    I know nothing about these motors and I did not know they been around this long

    THX for anything in advance

    if you run them hard they use a lot of fuel

    Good motors, get it checked by a Certified Tech. Make sure to have inspection on all parts fuel, mounting bolts, powerhead lower pan bolts, supercharger belt and pulley. They are good. I like mine

    Good engines- like anything used, get it checked out by a well-qualified Technician before sinking your hard-earned cash.

    If you can obtain and provide the serial number, more info may be available.

    I have an 06 275 Verado. Just hit the 500 hour mark and still purrs like a kitten. When the super charger kicks in the gas tank goes down. If you drive it sensibly it doesn't use that much gas.

    Read somewhere that the Coast Guard gets over 1,000 hours

    Still have normal maintenance as with any engine
