Lower unit rebuild questions

Finally figured out how to shrink pics. I lost reverse in my merc 90. Ser OG283xxx. Trying to decide if I need to replace the clutch and reverse gear, or if they are useable still. The doohickey that pushes the shaft into reverse was tore up, so I think that was the cause of it grinding and not engaging. The clutch has some wear and the reverse gear has more. Not a big project so far (this is my first attempt), about 1-1.5 hours to get this far. Clutch looks like $300 and gear about $150 or so.rsz_20190729_183525.jpg

checl the holes in case where shift shaft goes bad about wearing out , lets shft get misaligned repeated shift cam breakage, lota parts for that gearcase NLA
