Cowan Lake

I love this lake. Nice eating catfish,, caught some bass......no other boats. Nice night out.

Seems like I remember several years ago guys were trying to get the state to let them use the big motor to load and unload. Did they get that accomplished?

you can do that but not use big motor for anything else. the state made all lakes idle only but the sail boaters at cowan had the money to keep that lake 9.9 or smaller only, no big motors allowed

They don't mind handing out tickets there plenty of sail boaters watching you.

law says you can use big motor to load and un-load. if a ranger wrote him a ticket, it was in error and he should have fought it

none taken at all- been wrong before but this was gone over a lots a few years ago. I just emailed the state for a clear report of what is allowed and not allowed.

It's ok for the sail boat club to run their (safety boat) that is not a 9.9 hp motor though.
