Thats pretty good for full tank and 2 guys. Seems alot of guys run the solid pvs plugs on the 4 strokes maybe those be better? Does it act like it wants to blowout when you throttle down on holeshot?

yeah It spins up to about 4500 on hole shot. I would rather keep it to 4000 or less. I will try it with two medium and one large and see what it does.

Ran it today. I had raised it a bit more, probably 1/2”. I didn’t gain any RPM and lost 1 mph. Water pressure still 23-25. I lowered it back to where I ran 69.5 and will run again tomorrow.

Also with 3 medium PVS plugs it still spins up too much on hole shot. Now have 2 small and 1 medium and will try that.

Thanks for the update! Sounds like the pvs holes arent needed too much if it winds up that easy. Good speed tho for sure. These motors are rated for 6300 rpm correct?

Oh gotcha. So the 22 was right on it then. Have you considered getting the prop worked with maybe some more cup to drop the rpms a little on the 22p?

I talked to Mark Croxton and he said the slip number was too good on that prop and he recommended leaving it alone.
