Massive fish kill on southern Neuse

Ran down to Hancock Creek (near Cherry Point) and the place has had a massive fish kill I believe due to salt water intrusion. I counted hundreds of dead or dying bass, crappie, bluegills, and catfish. That creek use to be good for a limit but not anymore unless you’re wanting to catch mudfish or jellyfish. Didn’t check Slocomb but guessing it’s much the same.

What part of the creek were you in? Was it up by the Marina or down toward the end?

Half way back and in most of the creeks that feed into it

The River Keeper has not heard about it. Please call them and report the kill,
    So they can investigate.
    Thanks

Fished Slocum Creek today from ordnance point to the mouth and didn’t see anything out of the ordinary.
